The trains were a very efficient,
fun, and fast way to get around.
The transit systems in Europe are so
far advanced from what is
common in the United States.

The architecture in Europe is simply
incredible.
It's difficult to fathom how these
castles, churches and museums
were built in such auspicious
places. |

Notre Dam was truly a highlight of
our trip.
It is so beautiful and so
wonderfully old and full of history. |

We found that you can
find "fast food" in Paris along with
more intimate food like one would
expect. |

We traveled by train, ferry boat,
chartered boat and even on bicycles. |

We were "on the go" a lot during our
travels. However,
I did manage to get in a little
shopping.
Meeting new people was so much fun.

The river offered such beautiful
views and breathtaking landscapes.
While on land we encountered some
streets that were full of character.
These were 2 of my favorite scenes. |

The cafes were fabulous. I think we
managed to visit over 20 cafes
during our trip; all of which were
quaint, unique and offered wonderful coffee and pastries. Although
cafes were everywhere, we managed to cook up some great food and drink
in our galley on our chartered boat. |

We stayed at this hotel when Larry
and I were married.
It is one of the most elegant places
I have ever been. |
|
 |
 |
 |

|
Cruising the river way was tiresome
at times; Larry can sleep anywhere. We traveled with Larry's brother
Rex who is pictured below with Larry. Larry enjoyed writing on the
boat during our travels. |

Larry is quite an accomplished
photographer. I thought you might enjoy some of the more artistic
shots he came home with. Enjoy .... |
